Easy storage + same great design possibilities.
- 1 Pallet 2 Soup Cans Mounting Brackets Wood Screws
- Hammer Wood Screws Mounting Brackets Table Saw Crowbar
Remove 1st and 3rd slats from back with crowbar. Careful not to break.
From front of pallet remove slats 1, 3, 4, and 5 (middle slat)
Cut pallet in half on far side of center support. Set aside for later.
Cut off bottom of pallet, where slat #1 has been removed, at 37″. This portion of pallet becomes the back and front legs of chair.
Construct seat using 3rd pallet support that was cut and set aside. A) Cut support into two 15″ portions, with narrow pat against back of seat. B) Use disgarded (4) slats to 15 inch support portions of chair seat. Two 19″ slats at the front, and two 16″ slats to the rear.
For rear legs/support cut 2 slats 29.5″ to long point. Then rip down to 3.5″ wide.
Using can opener remove the tops and bottoms of two 15 ounce soup cans and save.
Flatten out cans using hammer or other tool to allow rear legs/supports to slide through. This will take some time.
Once cans are shaped correctly. Cut 1/2 holes in middle of the side of each can. In one can place set of tops and bottoms of lids in the center of the can. Using 1.5″ wood screw attach lids through previously cut hole 16″ from bottom square end of one leg/support. Screw should be screwed into chair back at 13″. Repeat for other side of chair.
Once secured attach top end of rear legs to seat using 1.5″ screws.
To attach rear of seat to chair back use 3″ mounting brackets. Anchor to back outside portion of seat 19″ up on inside of chair back.
